The next edition of the Computational Reproducibility Hackathon of the SwissRN working group on Computational Reproducibility will be taking place on December 9, 2026 at Università della Svizzera italiana in in Lugano, Canton of Ticino, Switzerland. This one-day event offers a unique opportunity to mutually reproduce each other’s methods, papers, and tools, fostering a collaborative environment where we can learn from one another and enhance the quality and accessibility of our research.

Call for submissions

We invite you to submit your proposals for methods, tools, or papers—ideally your own work—that can be reproduced during the hackathon. By engaging in mutual reproduction, we aim to:

  • Quality control: identify strengths and areas for improvement in our work.
  • Understand challenges: experience firsthand the difficulties others may face when reproducing our research.
  • Improve accessibility: learn how to make our work more accessible and reproducible for future researchers.
  • Contribute to posterity: enhance the longevity and impact of our research by making it easier to replicate and build upon.
  • Learning: get updated on the newest tips, tricks, and tools available to facilitate your own level of reproducibility.

Please submit your work by September 30, 2026, through this form. We will review all entries and select those that best represent diversity and feasibility.
